Optus is a communication service provider based in Australia. Once you become their customer, you’d need to register yourself with them through your email. It is mandatory to make an Optus email account to be aware about the services you have subscribed and updates on the new products and services launched by them. When you try to log into your Optus account, you fill in the password and it says “the password you have provided does not match with your account’s password” and you try again but the message remains the same. Following are some easy steps for Optus email password recovery :

You can do it by requesting a new password.

• Go to optus.com.
• Click on “My Account”
• Click on “Forgotten your username or password?”
• You should select “My Password”
• Click Next

Here you’d need to enter your registered email address and from the drop down boxes provide your date of birth.

• Click Submit.
• A new screen will appear, Enter your email address.
• Click continue

You’ll receive an email with the link which will help you resetting the password. If you don’t receive the email, don’t worry it may take a few minutes during the busy time. The email would be from system.admin@optus.com.au

• Wait for 15 minutes.
• Go to My Account again.
• Enter your username.
• Now, you can copy or type the temporary password that you have received in the email from Optus
• Enter your username in the new login page.
• Fill in temporary password into the password field.
• Click Log in.

Here, it will ask you to choose a new password. In “Confirm password” field retype your new password.

• Click Submit.
